I Can’t Change an Employee’s Email Address

If you receive a message saying the email address already exists in SubItUp, it means that email is already active somewhere else in our system.

The best way to fix this is to:

  1. Add a new employee using the correct email address
  2. Archive the employee with the incorrect email address

Once the new employee is added, SubItUp will automatically connect the employee to any other existing positions tied to that email address.

Important Notes

SubItUp does not allow duplicate email addresses. This helps prevent employee records and historical data from being merged incorrectly.

When archiving the incorrect employee account, you’ll be asked how future shifts should be handled:

  • Delete all future shifts
  • Make all future shifts available
  • Reassign all future shifts

You can then reassign shifts to the employee with the correct email address if needed.
