I Am Not Receiving Text Message Replies from My Employees

SMS messages sent through the SubItUp Message Center are designed for outgoing communication from managers to employees.

If an employee attempts to reply directly to a text message sent from SubItUp, their response will not be delivered back to the manager through the Message Center.

For conversations that require a response from an employee, use InMail or Email instead.

Requirements for Employees to Receive Text Messages

For an employee to receive SMS messages from the Message Center:

  • The employee must have a phone number entered in their SubItUp profile.
  • SMS messaging must be enabled for the employee.

Employees can choose to turn off text message notifications from their account settings. If an employee disables SMS notifications, they will no longer receive text messages sent through the Message Center.

Managers Can Enable SMS for an Employee

Managers with the appropriate permissions can also enable SMS messaging for an employee.

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Staff.
  2. Locate the employee.
  3. Click the Edit Pencil next to the employee's name.
  4. Select the General tab.
  5. Locate the SMS messaging setting on the right side of the page.
  6. Enable SMS messaging for the employee.

Please Note: Managers cannot permanently lock SMS messaging on for an employee. Employees can still choose to disable SMS notifications themselves from their account settings.
