How to Reauthorize a Time Clock Device

Are you seeing an error that your time clock device is no longer authorized? Follow the steps below to reset and reauthorize the device.

How to reauthorize a time clock

  1. Step 1: Reset the Device in SubItUp

    1. In the left-side toolbar, select Time Clock.
    2. Hover over Configuration, then select Device Configuration.
    3. Locate the device you want to reauthorize.
    4. Click the Barcode icon in that device’s row (next to the green check).
    5. In the pop-up, select Reset Linked Device.
    6. Check the confirmation box and click Confirm Reset.

    Step 2: Reconfigure the Device

    1. Navigate to timetrackpay.com on a desktop or laptop, or open the SubItUp Time Clock app on a mobile device.
    2. Click Continue.
    3. Log in using your SubItUp username and password.
    4. Select whether you are logging in as a Manager or Employee.
    5. Choose your Device Name from the dropdown.
    6. Click Configure Device.

    Why This Helps

    Resetting and reauthorizing the device establishes a new secure connection, which resolves authorization errors and allows employees to clock in and out again.
