How to manually create a shift

Need to create a new shift on your schedule? As a manager, you can create an individual shift at any time on the calendar. 

How to manually create a shift

To create a shift:

  1. In the left-side toolbar, select SCHEDULE
  2. Hover over CALENDAR and select BY EMPLOYEE – WEEK.
  3. At the top right of the page, click on CREATE SHIFT.
  4. In the pop-up box, select the new shift’s POSITION.
  5. If applicable, select TEMPLATE in the drop-down. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
  6. Enter the shift’s DATETITLESTART TIMEand END TIME.
  7. If applicable, apply BREAK.
  8. Select an employee to assign the shift to.
  9. Select EMAIL to notify the employee of a newly assigned shift.
  10. If you want to publish the individual shift at this time, select PUBLISH.
  11. Click the SAVE.
