Why Archived Employees Cannot Be Deleted
Archived employees cannot be permanently removed because SubItUp retains their data for historical and record-keeping purposes.
This helps maintain:
- Accurate reporting and payroll history
- Historical scheduling information
- Records that organizations may need to retain over time
What Happens to Archived Employees?
When an employee is archived:
- The employee becomes inactive and no longer appears in active scheduling workflows
- The employee does not count toward your active staff limit
- Their historical information is retained
- After 2 years, the employee is automatically hidden from the Archived Staff list to keep the list uncluttered
An employee being hidden from the Archived Staff list does not mean their historical schedule or payroll information has been deleted.
Can I See if an Employee Was Previously Archived?
SubItUp does not currently provide an archive history that shows whether or when an employee was previously archived and restored.
If an employee is currently active, there is not a historical archive log available to managers that confirms whether that employee was archived in the past.
How Can I Check an Employee’s Previous Activity?
If you are trying to determine whether an employee previously worked or had activity within your organization, you can review historical information using:
- Payroll Report
- Past dates on the Schedule Calendar
These areas can help you find previous payroll or scheduling activity associated with the employee.
However, historical activity does not confirm that the employee was previously archived or show when an archive or restore action occurred.
Do Archived Employees Affect My Account?
No. You can have an unlimited number of archived employees, and they will not impact your active staff count.
