Setting up Shift Availability will let SubItUp and your manager know what shifts and on what days you are available to work. This availability will later be used to schedule your shifts so it is important that you fill this out accurately. The information below will explain everything you need to know to set your Shift Availability. Your manager has control over when you have access to set your availability. When your manager requests your availability you will see a icon that looks like this:
First Time Setting Shift Availability:
If this is the first time setting your shift based availability all of the shift boxes will be the color pink, this indicates that you are unavailable to work these shifts, your screen should look something like this:
This grid view has days of the week on the top with shift names and times on the left hand side. When you mouse over any shift block three options appear. These buttons are: (+), NP, and (-) which you can use to adjust your availability. You can use the Color Key to visually check your availability.
The “(+) = Available” button indicates that you are available to work the shift and it is a preferred shift.
The “NP = No Preference” button indicates that you are available to work the shift but it is not a preferred shift.
The “(-) = Unavailable” button indicates that you are unavailable to work the shift.
Example: In the Below Example all shifts set to Green(+) indicates you are Available to work. All shifts in Grey(NP) indicate you are technically available to work but this particular shift is not your first choice. Lastly anything In Orange(-) indicates you are Unavailable to work.
Once you Have entered your Availability you will need to select the "Submit to Manager"button to finalize your availability so that your manager may begin to schedule you for work. You may also refer to our How to videos as well. https://youtu.be/nqwHdqX5iZs
